Cecile gets alot of volume reduced, and receives delightful highlights.

Cecile is a regular at Afrodita. Her hair had become messy and curly, again. So she needed to get ‘tidied up’. Which is something she’s a bit concerned about, because japanese salons have problems to manage that kind of hair. Luckily Yoshiko can take care of it! 😉
She also decided to get highlights done with natural medium ash as base color.

Then Yoshiko cut back at the wild growth hair, and made it less voluminous. But she kept the nice waves allready present, we didn’t wanna straighten it away.
After the ash base color, high and lowlights were added to spice it all up, and then finished with a toner.

The result is good looking smoother hair and the highlights add the youthfull energy. Suits her very well. At least someone can manage her hair ;D

Jessica came four times for a gradual OMBRE coloring.

Yoshiko Style

Jessica has been a regular at for Afrodita for quite a while. We’ll take a look at two different times she came.

The first time she came with dark straight hair. She wished for a brighter color, but gradually and not too sudden.

For this request, Yoshiko gave her a coloring technique called ‘soft OMBRE’, which would brighten her hair color up over a longer period of time. At this time, Jessica got a dark golden beige color with highlights on top.

The second time Jessica came, her hair showed off the full effect of her natural wavy hair.

Yoshiko gave Jessicas whole head highlights and added a toner afterwards. She also straightened the wavy hair by style.

Jessica’s hair has became brighter in a slower and more natural feely way. The new color changed her appearance gradually for a brighter look. She’ll come again to finish up this procedure.

–Update!–

When Jessica came to afrodita her hair had gotten a bit too curly for her taste and her darker roots had started to appear again. She needed to change something about this, and so she did, take a look at her fabulous journey.

Yoshiko did a touch up on her roots, bleached them all out. She then added highlights and lowlights on top, and a toner.

The result is nice looking shiny straight hair, a very big different from before. Alot of highlights were added to create this different looking hair.It looks amazing!

This time Jessica wanted some basic toner and straightened her hair with iron.

Yoshiko applied toner and made her hair a bit brighter and straigther by iron.

As always Jessica leaves Afrodita with a splendid new look. Take care ! 🙂

Forward time by a couple of weeks, and Jessica’s roots have started to show again, plus her curly hair does what curly hair loves to do.
To e curly. ;P

So Yoshiko cut her ends and colored her hair in a darker ombre tone this time, aswell as adding a few brighter highlights for the overall style. This should make her reapearing roots have less dominance when they return.

Finishing with iron straightening the hair, Jessica is left with a beautiful hairstyle. But we have a feeling it might just be her that makes every cut look good aswell ;).

Megans journey to perfect hair.

Yoshiko Style

Our regular Megan has come to Afrodita a bunch of times so far. Let’s take a look on her journey up until now!

The first time, Megan wanted to have a color correction, her darker roots needed to be covered, plus a little change to brighten up the hair color was needed.

Yoshiko gave her roots a touch-up to give her a natural blonde hair look. Highlights and lowlights were added for a bit of youthful energy.

The second time Megan came, she wanted to step it up and change her style a bit.This time around she wanted to try straight hair.

So first Yoshiko did the roots touch up again, then shaped her hair by cutting it in layers for a more distinct style, in comparison to her former friskier look. Megan’s hair was straightened just by styling and not with chemical straighting since she just wanted to try out this look. The result is longer looking hair, with an air of brilliance. 😉

Ofcourse it will end up getting curly again, then she will have to do straightening herself to keep the look.

The third time Megan came to Afrodita, she decided to go shorter.

An Asymmetrical bob style was chosen and works well on her curly hair. No need to force int straight this time. Her hair was cut short in the back and kept a bit longer at sides, with one side slighty longer than the other.

This wash-and-go hair style fits her well, well its not a fusion from the two prior hairstyles, but its definitely evolving. Instead of forcing the straight hair look, shes embracing her curls, with great results. Might be something we all could learn from? ;p

Lets all go on a journey for perfect hair! Or maybe perfection can never be attained in the first place?It’s the journey and the will try that makes it fun.

The jourey continues! Lets see what we have in store for you this time.

She definitely wanted to have something done to her darker roots, and something with the overall color. It was getting slightly dark. Something special to freshen it up? What about… strawberries. Yes, you heard right.
Yoshiko decided to use strawberry blond color for her this time. Plus some more white and red.

The result looks surprisingly good. Strawberry blond really does look good, who would’ve thought? =P
In addition Megan got her hair straigthened for the final finish. We like this cut a lot on her.

Janie received highlights and styling to her hair.

Yoshiko Style

Janie has blonde hair, but darker roots had been sprouting on the top of her head for quite a while she came to Afrodita. It had also become wavy which needed some attention.

First up, Yoshiko did a touch up, she added highlights with a golden beige tone to refresh her hair color. She trimmed up the damaged parts, then added style to it. Finally, Janie’s hair was straightened to give it the finish.

The new golden streaks bring some shininess and life back to the hair, it also looks healthier and fresher now.

Kiyomi recoloring, glamour and simplicity.

Yoshiko Style

Regular customer Kiyomi wanted to have a color correction for her faded out blonde hair. Besides that, a new haircut was suggested to her.

Yoshiko restored Kiyomi’s color with these 3 colors: Bright highlights, deep pink and purple. This might sound a little extreme at first, but the combination of these three charming colors is what brings forth her hairs hidden potential.She also got asymmetrical bob blunt cut ,which is very compatible with her face. A bit of glamour with some basic style makes this fit well with her.
